Dec 14 2003: Laborotech goes global, launching its passenger information service Nomad in partnership with the Adelaide Passenger Transport Board. This service allows public transport users to download tram and train timetables onto their mobile phones and receive update messages warning of delays, service disruptions, etc. On selection of any individual scheduled service Nomad will fetch any alerts from the PTB relevant to that particular branch. Laborotech has plans to add bus timetables to this service in the first quarter of 2004. By integrating with the Smart Stop system developed by the PTB, Nomad will provide updates for individual bus services. Stay tuned!
